In 2022, it was time for a new challenge in life, so as any 50 year old man who has fished all of his life would do, I decided to try my hand at making "Diving Minnow" style fishing lures,

20 years of towing and casting these types of Lures around my favourite waterway's using hundred's of different brand's and styles of these lure's gave me the inspiration to use my knowledge and experience to make a range of lure's which anybody can use with ease and success.

  A standout performance in the 2024 Gold Coast Flathead Classic where the MIRAGE 55 was tested under tournament condition's for the very first time, saw SillyFish Lures creator Dean Hanckel finish the 3 day competition in the top 8% of 800+ entrants, using only the MIRAGE 55. A massive testament that this little lure is going places very fast.
